Anand Kaaraj was created to honour the sacred Sikh wedding ceremony — and to help the global Sikh community find life partners who share the same values, faith, and vision for the future.
Why We Exist
Millions of Sikhs live across Canada, the UK, the United States, Australia, India, and beyond. Finding a partner who understands the importance of Gurdwara, langar, seva, and the Anand Kaaraj ceremony is deeply meaningful — and deeply challenging when you live far from the communities your parents grew up in.
Generic dating apps don't understand the nuances of Sikh culture. Arranged introductions through family networks are helpful but limited. We built Anand Kaaraj to fill that gap — a respectful, faith-forward platform where the intention is marriage, and the community is family.

The Name
Anand Kaaraj (ਅਨੰਦ ਕਾਰਜ) translates literally as "blissful union" — and is the Sikh marriage ceremony prescribed by Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The ceremony consists of four circumambulations (Lavaan) around the Guru Granth Sahib, each representing a stage of the soul's journey toward divine union.
We named our platform after this ceremony to remind every member of the sacred and joyful purpose behind their search. This is not merely about finding a partner — it is about finding someone to walk the spiritual path with.
