Your profile is your first impression — and it must be truthful.

Every interaction on Anand Kaaraj must be conducted with courtesy, respect, and good intentions. We expect members to communicate as they would in the presence of a respected elder.

To protect all members, we ask that you keep communication on-platform during the early stages of getting to know someone.

• Do not include phone numbers, email addresses, WhatsApp numbers, or social media handles in your profile bio or photos.
• Sharing contact details publicly in your profile — rather than in a private conversation between consenting members — is not permitted.
• Do not ask for or share personal contact information before establishing a genuine mutual connection.
• Be cautious about sharing your home address or workplace with members you have not thoroughly vetted.

The safety of our members is our highest priority. Please be alert to the following warning signs:

If you encounter any of the above, please use the Report button on the profile page. Our team reviews all reports within 24 hours.

Photos are a critical part of your profile. They must meet the following standards:

• Face visible: Your primary photo must clearly show your face. Sunglasses, masks, or obscured faces are not permitted as your main photo.
• Appropriate: All photos must be suitable for a family audience. No revealing, suggestive, or inappropriate clothing.
• Yours alone: Do not use photos that feature other identifiable people unless in a clearly family context.
• Recent: Photos should represent your current appearance. Using photos more than 5 years old is discouraged.
• No contact info: Do not include phone numbers, social handles, or QR codes in your photos.
• No watermarks or branding: Photos should not have Instagram handles, brand logos, or other overlaid text.

The following behaviours will result in immediate account suspension or permanent ban:

Anand Kaaraj respects every member's personal preferences and background. However, we do not permit:

• Content that demeans, insults, or discriminates against any person based on their caste, jat, gotra, or community background.
• Messaging that is abusive toward someone because of their specific caste identity.
• Profile content that expresses contempt or hostility toward members of a particular background.

While members may filter by caste as a personal preference, this must never become a vehicle for disrespect or discrimination.

Our moderation team reviews all profiles, reports, and flagged content. We take the following approach:

• Profile review: Every new profile is reviewed before it goes live. This may take up to 48 hours.
• Reports: All member reports are reviewed within 24 hours. Serious violations are acted upon within hours.
• Warnings: Minor first-time violations may result in a warning and required profile update.
• Suspension: Repeated violations or moderate infractions result in temporary suspension.
• Permanent ban: Serious violations — fraud, harassment, explicit content, impersonation — result in an immediate permanent ban.
• No appeals for fraud: Accounts banned for fraud or scam activity cannot be appealed.

You can report any profile by clicking the "Report Profile" button on their profile page. Please include as much detail as possible.

All reports are confidential. The reported member will not be told who reported them.

These guidelines are not simply rules — they are a reflection of Sikh values: sewa (selfless service), sach (truth), and nimrata (humility). We ask every member to approach this community with those values in their heart.
